Groups are at the core of what we do, providing opportunities to learn new activities, socialise with members and make new friends along the way. We are grateful to our group leaders for giving up their time to organise their groups.
Groups are listed below in a weekly timetable format to enable you to easily pick the ones you are interested in. You may contact the relevant group leaders, with the buttons above or below the list to find out more.
Weather permitting we meet at Radcliffe Golf Club. Our aim is simply to have fun playing Boules. Monday morning 10am to 11.30am.
The group meets to play Duplicate Bridge and at the start of most sessions has a short teach-in on one subject to help the group improve. Mondays 1.45pm to 4pm, The Grange Hall. Small charge to cover costs and refreshments.
During the warmer seasons we meet on the Croquet Lawn behind the Royal British Legion premises to enjoy a relaxing couple of hours playing croquet. Monday weekly, 2pm to 4pm £1.
We meet each month to view a movie and discuss the film’s merits and score the movie. We often report back via the monthly News Sheet. 2pm last Monday in the month Dowson Room The Grange.

The hour consists of stretching, balance, yoga exercises and some Pilates. Some reasonable level of mobility is needed as some of the exercises take place on the floor and anyone using a stick would find the standing and balance exercises difficult. 10am to 11am Grange Hall.

We aim to educate, inform and inspire those interested in aviation and aerospace, via lectures, visits, debates and quizzes. First Tuesday each month The Grange 2pm-4pm £4.
The opportunity to converse in French in small groups on a variety of topics. Alternate Tuesdays 10 am to 11.30 am in members' homes.

A friendly group knitting for good causes, eg Blankets and hats for premature babies; Hats & scarves for homeless; Blankets and clothes for places in need overseas. If you prefer to sew or crochet – rather than to knit – that is fine. Second Tuesday in the month 2pm to 4pm Group Leader's house.
Annually this group arranges taster session for members interested in taking up this sport. 6 dates in April and May Radcliffe-on-Trent Bowling Club 2pm to 4pm £2.
A luncheon club that meets at a different restaurant Tuesday on a monthly basis. Day, venue and cost varies.
The members taste and debate the various aspects of wine from various regions. The session is informal and light hearted. Food and wine is included in the cost and food is served at the mid-way point of the evening. Monthly 1st or 2nd Tuesday £15 St Mary's Church Hall 7pm start.
A small group for all abilities on any medium but if you are just starting a 2B pencil and some A3 paper are all you need. Alternate Wednesdays 10am to 12 Noon, The Grange, Dowson Room.

A one hour class with optional coffee and chat before the session. Warm-up followed by aerobic exercise, then toning. £2 per member weekly 10am in the Scout Hall.

Offers social opportunities for both male and female members to meet each month to sample real ale, have a pub lunch and a different establishment within easy access using public transport. Last Wednesday in the month 11.20am bus from The Grange.

A group of music lovers who meet to play and discuss music. New members always welcome. Fourth Thursday in the month, 10.30am to 12.30pm in The Dowson Room, The Grange £2.50.
We find out more about our family histories and meet to discuss and share information. We are a friendly Group and welcome newcomers to family history research. Third Thursday each month, The Grange Radcliffe Room, 2pm.
Activities include talks from visiting speakers, talks at local garden centres, visits to gardens, members garden trail etc. We try to have an event 2nd Thursday in each month from Feb to Nov. 2pm to 4pm location to be advised.

We read and discuss the work of poets. The theme is usually decided by the group at the previous meeting. 1.30pm to 3.30pm last Thursday in the group leader's house.

We explore the archaeology of Radcliffe on Trent using maps, reference material and local knowledge. Most Fridays 1pm to 3pm £2 per session at the Group Leader's house.
We play board games for fun and for socialising. No previous experience is necessary, just an enjoyment of sitting down with friends to play games. Friday 9.15am at the Group Leader's house.
We read books suggested by our members and then meet socially to discuss and debate them. Last Friday of the month 2.00pm Methodist Church Hall.
Simply a Social Group of people who enjoy Canasta and meet fortnightly to enjoy the game. The first and third Friday in the month, 1pm to 3pm, The Grange, Dowson Room.
Visits to local churches to view the church and learn about its history. Six visits between April and September Friday mornings.
The Pub Trail Group is a friendly, sociable group that enjoys a mini pub trail each second Friday in the month with food, drinks and fun and a little pub history thrown in! Click the icon for more about this group.

We are a small sub-committee that meet monthly to organise several trips throughout the year for our members, investigating venues, costs and transport. We organise ticket sales and collect the money.
Currently proposed walks are to be on first Wednesday and third Tuesday monthly. Location - varies. Cost - possible transport and snacks .
