Four members of the new Motorcycle Group enjoyed their first rideout since it’s formation.
Three members, Phil, Chris and Martin, departed Wharf Lane at 9am and headed to Quorn and Woodhouse Station cafe for breakfast and refreshments. After this ‘refuelling’ stop they headed for the Dairy Barn cafe at Whissendine for lunch where fourth member, Bernard was able to join them. This stop gave the group the opportunity to chat together and of course the main topic of conversation was motorbikes and future plans for the group. The final leg took in some lovely villages around the Vale of Belvoir and after splashing through a small ford (potentially tricky on a motorbike), they ended the route with a spectacular ride past Belvoir Castle and back to Radcliffe, arriving home around 3pm.
The photo shows the group, with their ‘trusty steeds’ in the car park of the Dairy Barn cafe. For those who are interested there was one Triumph T120 Black, two BMW F800GTs and a Suzuki V-Strom.
The group is already looking forward to the next ride. There are currently seven members in the group but there is room for more! Please contact us via the website Group Leader Contact Page. Rides take place monthly on the second Thursday in the month.
